Levels marked “est.” are rough estimates. Measure each player with a phone SPL meter (e.g. NIOSH SLM, Decibel X) held 1 m (3.3 ft) in front of the instrument or mouth while they play or sing at performance volume, and enter it as Inst dB / Voice dB. The balance is only as good as these numbers: 3 dB of error moves the suggested distance by about 40%.
Phone meters usually read A-weighted, which discounts low frequencies (−19 dB at 100 Hz), so an A-weighted reading under-states an upright bass. Use C- or Z-weighting for the bass if your app offers it.
Mix Chart

dB relative to the loudest player at the mic. Bars: instrument (solid) and voice (faded). White line: that player's total.

Mix Detail

Numbers: estimated dB SPL arriving at the mic (plus mic gain). Bars: relative to the loudest player.

How To Use
Drag players to reposition on stage. Tap/click a player to show their directivity patterns.
Drag the Vox arrow to aim singing direction, the Inst arrow to aim the instrument.
Drag source cubes up/down to adjust source height (works best in 3D view).
Camera: drag empty space to orbit, right-drag to pan, scroll to zoom. On touch: one finger orbits, two fingers pinch to zoom and pan.

Auto Balance moves players so everyone arrives at the mic at the same level (quietest player closest), keeping them in front of the mic and not overlapping.

The heatmap shows mic sensitivity on the floor. The cardioid outlines are equal-level contours of the mic's pickup (green=strong, yellow=moderate, red=weak).
